Notes for Perry BAXTER


Perry was a Privat in the Union Army, Co. "A" 4th Tennessee
Cavalry Volunteers. He inlisted Dec. 1, 1862 at Somerset, KY in
Co. "A" 4th Regiment of Tenn. Cosby Volunteers, to serve three
years of the war and mustered into service as Private on the
9th day of Feb. 1863. He died Feb. 15, 1863 according to the
Adjntant General's Office report dated June 11, 1866. The Surgen
General reports him having died Feb. 20, 1863 at General
Hospital #13 Nashville, TN of Typhoid Fever.
