Alfred Hembree, a Wheelwright by trade, was listed as eighteen
years old in the 1850 census. Army records show that he was born
in 1830.
Buried in the Old Gray Military Cemetery-Section "A" Grave 1334
Knoxville, TN.
Alfred Hembree born Oct 1830, married Lucy Jane Murry, born Apr
1831, (daughter of _____ Murry).

Alfred died 25 Jan 1884, buried in Knoxville, Knox Co, TN.
Buried in Knoxville National Cemetery. Sevier County Heritage
also lists death as 26 January 1884. --- Reference: "Sevier
County, Tennessee and Its Heritage", 1994, 215, 248.
