Elizabeth was living with Garrett Jenkins doing housework and
cooking for her keep. It was at their home that she died. I
don't know what their relationship was, if any.
Mannon Vess (Rachel Matelda Vess Hembree's brother)shot and
killed Garrett's dad, John Jenkins. He was pleaded insane and
was committed to Eastern State Institute (now Lakeshore) located
in Knoxville, TN.
My Grandpa and Grandma Baxter said he was not insane.
